Scrapmetal - Chanta & Ro
Chanta is my original character which I came up with for my character design assignment. She's a neo-futuristic hacker who's on the run from the government after chancing upon some top-secret information on a classified project while she was hacking through databases in search of leads on her missing older brother. The grey-haired dude is Roel 'Ro' Hayl, a former-hacker-turned-mechanic whom she will eventually meet in the story. He's from the future, or in this story's case, the future of the future.

More on the story...
- Ro's world has been severely damaged by the very project which Chanta so unwittingly stumbled upon in her timeline - the same one which sent the government hot on her heels. The future is a post-apocalyptic mess due to the effects of the project gone hay-wired. Most forms of technology became obsolete, crippling the cyberspace network and resulting in Ro choosing a different path to survive – becoming a mechanic. I wasn't planning on making him a mechanic initially but upon a suggestion, I realized that tool belts are real cool things to have. LOL~
- He, along with a group of individuals are hatching a plan to somehow travel back to the past to prevent the project from ever being completed. Yes, even with their limited resources. I don't know how they’ll ever do it. He even manages to persuade Chanta to join their cause after much difficulty (cuz, as mentioned before, Chanta doesn't care zilch about the fate of the world. She just wants to find her damn brother).
- People of Ro's world wear clothes of darker shades (cuz they need the camouflage for obvious reasons), contrasting Chanta's very vibrant, very bright hues. Ro would often tease Chanta that she attracts trouble with her hair colour alone, (<-- a situation I made up as a side joke.) I know I used yellow for Ro's clothes in this pic. Ignore that. Haha. That's for stylization purposes only. The glasses-thing... he doesn't wear them all the time. Only when he's fixing stuff.
- Ro is level-headed and straightforward in his words. He simply says whatever he likes even if it may come cross as offensive or rude. He thinks through his decisions and weights them thoroughly, sometimes making him a bit slow during really tight situations when instinct and spontaneous actions are required more than hypothetical judgment. That is where Chanta comes in to pull him out of his stupor cuz she prefers to barge in head first into things and relies more on spur-of-the-moment thinking. Ro's distinctive trait, however is that he is incredibly sarcastic, something which drives Chanta up the wall. You can't see it in this pic, but he actually has a single piercing on the left of his bottom lip. Another side joke is that he forces everyone to call him by his nickname, 'Ro' cuz he thinks his given name sounds too girly. XD Chanta likes to call him 'Roel' anyways, just to irk him.
- Chanta and Ro are the dynamic, highly mismatched duo of the story.... that is, if there is ever going to be an actual story. XD They bicker, bicker and bicker some more but they make a hell of a team (<-- so the creator says). What it boils down to is that Chanta is just somewhat put out at discovering that there was actually someone who outdoes her in her areas of expertise... Ro, on the other hand, simply finds Chanta terribly entertaining when she's annoyed. ---
